OLIVER Owner. MORTON was the first Indiana-born person to hold the office of boss. Born in Salisbury, Wayne County, Indiana, Morton worked as a hatter's beginner for four years before he accompanied Miami University in Ohio and wellthoughtout law both in Centerville, Indiana, take up in law school at Cincinnati.
